Sierra Commons is dedicated to a cause we can all rally behind — economic resilience for Nevada County.

Thanks to the hard work of our Business Ignitor students and others that have passed through our doors in 2022, Nevada County now has nineteen new businesses, seven full-time and twelve part-time jobs.

We've helped launch businesses in professional services, arts and entertainment, accommodations and food, retail, and other sectors. Sixty-five percent of our Ignitor graduates are women, and nineteen percent are minorities. Our work not only positively impacts the lives of individuals in our community but also serves our entire population.

To continue doing this, we are asking for your generosity. In addition to cash donations, we are also seeking gifts such as:

• PC Laptops (less than four years old)

• Monitors (HDMI or USB connections)

• Handyperson hours for light repairs and upgrades

• Gift certificates to local hardware stores

• Large house plants
