Great information Robert,
We can change those statistics.
Anyone who can give something to a person who will do one small new task for them, means there is one less period of time of joblessness.
Anyone who can think of a new task or service that they can do for someone, and someone is willing to give something for it, is one more period of time of employment.
Little by little we can put 3000 people back to work.
That would leave 3-4% unemployed - which are people in transition or people who can not work.
The "Job-Seekers" groups are great places to discuss this.
Also, Robert's efforts to create new businesses is part of the solution.
A sustainable community is one with full employment.
We are that community.

Who else is generating jobs when most of what we hear about is jobs going away. I appreciate Sierra Commons for helping me live off the metro traffic-grid and still being able to thrive.

Sierra Commons captures the spirit of Nevada County and has seen a strong trend toward sustainable, community-based business.

Thanks for the vision and for staying with a thoroughly worthy, economically sound enterprise.

Keep the posts coming, Robert!
