With six startups, three successful IPOs, and two mergers under his belt, there’s no denying Brian Gillings is a seasoned business consultant. In 2001 Brian started BG Business Consulting, a service helping businesses create solid strategic plans and positioning start-ups for Angel and Series A Funding, and early stage companies for series B and C Funding. Brian’s proven team building, managerial and functional skills, coupled with a unique perspective and business sense, enables Brian to lead businesses towards long-term growth and profitability.
Hilary Hodge is Sierra Commons’ Executive Director. She has nearly 20 years experience working for non-profit organizations. She has served as the Grievance Chair and as a board member for the California National Organization for Women (NOW) and served as president of both the UC Davis and Sacramento chapters of NOW. Hilary grew up in the Bay Area and went to college at UC Davis. She lived in Sacramento before moving to Nevada County in 2010. Hilary currently serves as the volunteer coordinator for the Gold Country Gleaners. She is on the Board of Directors of the Nevada City Chamber of commerce. She is also a member of the Nevada City Rotary Club, the AAUW, the League of Women Voters and she sings with the Music in the Mountains Chorus. Hilary lives in Grass Valley with her partner and their three cats.
Samantha Hinrichs started Mud and Pearls, an enterprise that teaches permaculture, natural building, and hands-on skills, especially to women. She consults with homeowners and works with them to make their spaces more beautiful, functional and sustainable. She is a resident member of Sierra Commons and a graduate of the first Ignitor course.
