Tech Talk #2: Data Modeling for Wildlife Populations

As part of the a 6-part “Tech Talk” lecture and networking series to share new ideas, ongoing projects, and interesting work that Nevada County residents are doing in the fields of science, engineering, and technology, Mary Conner will speak about Data Modeling for Wildlife Populations on Thursday, February 10, at 7:00pm.

Mary worked for 7 years as an engineer in the power industry before getting her PhD as a Wildlife Biologist. She has worked in academia and for government agencies, specializing in biostatistics and the analysis of large and often messy data sets that enable managers to evaluate effects of management actions or inaction in the face of temporal and/or spatial environmental variation. more

Tech Talks will take place at Sierra Commons (107 Sacramento Street on the third floor of the Stone House building) in Nevada City on the second Thursday of each month from 6:00-8:00pm, starting on January 13 more
